Nancy Mills
MS, LPC, CCTP
Nancy Mills began her career in mental health as a RN. After graduation from Nursing School of Wilmington in 1975, she worked at the Philadelphia Psychiatric Center. From there, she married and stayed home to raise her 4 children. After the kids were in school, Nancy worked as a facilitator for Cumberland County Child Assault Prevention, as a nurse for a residential treatment facility for boys, and then in an outpatient program for kids and adolescents. In 2000, Nancy returned to school to pursue her degree in counseling and graduated in 2010 with her Masters of Science in Community Counseling.
Nancy initially worked for a non-profit ministry, New Hope Counseling, which she and her husband founded. The mission of New Hope was to provide affordable counseling for survivors of trauma. She then went on to work for Cumberland County Guidance Center and then finally to private practice.
Nancy returned to New Jersey from South Carolina in May, 2021. She currently is providing virtual services, and continues to be licensed in both NJ and SC. While she works with many insurances, Nancy also offers a sliding scale for those who either have no insurance or have insurance with which she is not credentialed.
